Gibson Les Paul 1989 Curly Maple Top
This is the only non Abbate Guitars electric guitar Patrick plays every blue moon since the cherry sunburst Les Paul was his dream when he was in mid school. Pretty light guitar with custom shop hand wounded pickups. JB at bridge and a completely custom pickup Seymour Duncan built specifically for Patrick's specs.
Alhambra Crossover
This is Patrick's Classic Guitar, he loves his Alhambra which features a Fishman its pickup system. You can find more info here at the Alhambra Website
Soldano SLO 30
Patrick has 2 Soldano SLO 30 Snakeskin heads, one for Europe and one for the US. Proudly endorsed by the best guitar amplifier company in the world!
Seymour Duncan JB and '59
Patrick uses only Seymour Duncan Pickups (Mainly JB at he bridge and 59 at the neck position, always splittable) In the picture you can see some hand wounded pickups made at the SD custom shop by MJ). In his Gibson Les Paul, Patrick uses 2 Custom Shop Hand Wounded Pickups made with his own specifics).
Morley Mini Dragon 2 and Volume Plus
Patrick has a collection of Morley Pedals, his main Wah is a few George Lynch Mini Dragon 2, sometimes he also uses a Mr. Scary model which is basically the same wah. (Patrick, proudly endorsed by Morley for almost 20 years, also has a Bad Horsie 2, a DJ Ashba signature and more). Patrick also uses a Volume Plus and a Little Alligator.
DR Tite-Fits, Black Beauties and Neon Strings
Patrick uses only DR Strings. Usually Tite-Fit 0.11/0.50. Sometimes he uses DR Neon in different colors or Black Beauty, same strings gauge. From the first time he tried DR strings he could never go back. It has been decades now...
Floyd Rose Pro
Proudly endorsed by the best bridges company ever, Floyd Rose, Patrick uses only Floyd Rose Pro in his guitars. This collaboration started in 2005 as Patrick uses the whammy bar as one of the constants in his guitar playing.
Reference Ric01 and Midi cables
Patrick uses only Reference Cables from the first time he tried their cables, the difference is clear and loud!
Eventide H90
Eventide has been Patrick's dream (and not only Patrick's) for years and years, as soon as I was able to start this collaboration the quality of his life improved drastically! :) Eventide doesn't need any presentation... through the years Patrick has been using PitchFactor, TimeFactor, Space and H9 Pedals with a Tesla Tap Coil for the tap tempo. From 2023 Patrick has switch to H90 which became the center of his pedalboard replacing the old Eventide pedals he has.
Celestion G12T 75 and Greenback
Patrick has been using only Celestion Speakers for decades, he has a collection of several models but his favorites are G12T 75, Greenback and Heritage 30. Patrick uses some Celestion Gold to record some clean guitars sometimes.
Crossfire by Crazy Tube Circuits
Once Patrick received his PA SRV single coils guitar, he felt the need to have some fender sounding device added to his rig to better enhance his single coils tone. After a deep research he finally found his favorite weapon to do the job, the Crossfire is a SRV tone in a box pedal, which combines 2 pedals, a Fender Blackface preamp and a Tube Screamer.
Patrick started his collaboration with Magrabò guitar straps in 2022, no need to explain how these handmade straps are the best looking super comfortable and reliable straps you can find in the market.
Lok N Roll is a new guitar nut, Patrick tried it a NAMM 2020 and fell in love with it, from then he tries to have one in every guitar he uses.
Patrick has been endorsed by Stefy Line for almost 20 years, his guitar bags and his pedalboard cases have travel around the world you can't imagine how many times keeping his gear safe and easy to transport!
Techra PA Picks
Techra used to do Patrick's signature picks, he still has several but soon Abbate Guitars will start making them for him and for whoever wants to purchase them. Stay tuned!
MACE String Dampener
When Patrick used to play 2 hand tapping he used Michael Angelo Batio's string dampeners. It has been a while that Patrick abandoned that technique but he still uses the string dampener in certain studio or live situations to do some special effects.
Mercury Magnetics
In past Patrick had some fun customizing some heads he was using. All the customizations where made with Mercury Magnetics components. Such an amazing company and products!
